The first time I had this dish was at my Turkish friend Candan’s house, I loved it so much and asked for the recipe! Its a very popular Turkish dish, and its so delicious:)

Strawberry Shaped Nut Desserts
I went to a South Asian specialty store specializing in Indian and Pakistani grocery’s. While I was in line to pay… I came across these beautiful strawberry shaped treats (I love anything strawberry♥) I asked what they were…its pistachios and cashews! who knew nuts can be turned into something so wonderful♥
Revani
Revani, is an Albanian and Turkish cake. Its dry when baked, the syrup is what makes it moist and tender. I love this recipe, its not greasy like some revani that I have tried….it took me a few tries to come up with the perfect recipe!
Pizza Margherita
Pizza Margherita, is one of our favourite pizza’s! I usually only make it the summer as the basil and tomatoes are fresh from the garden…makes a huge difference:)

Kisir is a Turkish bulgar salad, that is tasty and filling! Great as a side dish or a on its own for a healthy snack or lunch!
Cucumber and Feta Salad
I grew up on this salad, very Mediterranean. I love it who wouldn’t? It has everything, cheese, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers….yum yum! Perfect summer lunch idea…best part was the peppers, tomatoes and cucumber were fresh from the garden!
Mango Fruit Jelly Dessert
I have been going mango crazy all summer long! Anything and everything mango! I found this mango gelatin at the Middle Eastern store and had to get it, actually there were 2 brands….one was better than the other! One had more colour which I wasn’t crazy about, now if only I can remember which was which!
