I made this cake today….and let me tell ya it just was not my day….nothing was working out! Thankfully I was able to put it together with what I had and made it work!

I made this rainbow cake for a friends nephew over the weekend….it was homemade vanilla cake with strawberry’s and whipped cream as the filling…and whipped topping the kind you have to whip with electric mixer. It was light and fluffy just like the clouds in the sky….
I made some homemade chocolate & vanilla cupcakes for a friend, I decorated them with yellow buttercream.
This dish is tasty, easy and fast to make! You can serve it with pasta such as orzo or rice!
Imam bayildi literally means ‘the Imam fainted’ there are few folklore stories that go around with this. The story I grew up with was when this man first tried this dish he fainted as it was so good!
It really is! Its been a favourite of mine since I was a kid! I was never a big fan of eggplant but prepared like this, I was! Its really delicious! Now a day’s I like eggplant in many ways….its become one of my favourite vegetables!
I really wanted to make a pumpkin cake…one problem I didn’t feel like baking the pumpkin…peeling and pureeing it just for a cake (lazy day)…
Swirled spinach burek or Kol Burek, makes for a pretty presentation…and its easy to make! My mom always made swirled burek, most times it was individual swirls, which are fun to make as well! Bureks are very popular around the Balkans, and is known as either burek, borek or spanakopita in Greek.
My oh my its my favourite turtle pumpkin pie! I love this no bake pie! Making it all from scratch makes it tastes so much better, but takes a lot of time and effort! What ever you do, allow your self time by preparing ahead. Since its made from scratch, it has to cook and therefore needs cooling time.
