My son loves custard and blueberries, so I made this dessert especially for him!
My mom made traditional Albanian lakror! Its layers of thin dough , top and bottom with filling in the middle. This filling is made from cottage cheese, feta, eggs and leeks. It was my Grandfathers favourite!
My daughter was inspired to make corn bread after watching a cartoon, as they were eating corn cake in the movie. I had a recipe that I used to use long ago it was on the bag of the cornmeal, I always threw out the bag of course thinking, I would find it again, just to never find that brand again!
Menemen is a popular egg and tomato dish in Turkish cuisine, traditionally it is made in a tomato sauce, you can make it with any veggie you like, or you can make it with fresh herbs and feta. If I have ajvar, I add a few spoons of that to it as well for extra flavour. This one in the photograph is not with sauce, as I didn’t have any…but the eggs looked so good I had to take a pic!
We are HUGE Celtics fans! so as were watching the game today, I was inspired to make some dessert to snack on! I tinted the cool whip green for the top!
Well we were snowed in today! The blueberry buckle from yesterday was gone in a flash! The kids wanted some more, I did not have much blueberries, but I did have a bag of mixed fruit in the freezer so I made it with mixed fruits. So now while were here stuck in the house, at least we have something delicious to snack on:)
Was searching for a blueberry buckle recipe on the net, I didn’t really find much differences in the recipes, I choose this recipe from allrecipes.com to follow and it was so good, I am not a big blueberry fan and I loved it!
