A new post, yay! Wishing everyone a blessed and joyous Ramadan! Finally sharing my Ramazan pide with you. You may notice it is spelled with a z, instead of a d, and that is because in Albanian and Turkish we say Ramazan! …
Pispili me Spinaq – Albanian Style Spinach Squares
Hi everyone! I have a new recipe to share with you; I came up with it last summer and I am finally sitting down and writing up a post for you!
I got the inspiration from my pispili with leek, I didn’t have any leek one day so I used spinach and it turned out great!
I only used flour, but I think I may try adding a bit of cornmeal next time just to try it out. …
Tiganisur Me Pule or Pule Me Leng
Growing up, this was one of my favourite meals. If my grandparents or mom said they were making tiganisur, I would get so happy! This dish is nostalgic and comforting. If you come from an Albanian family, you know exactly what I mean. Something simple yet so delicious, I find that sometimes the most simplest recipes are the best. …

Rustic Cucumber Tarator
This may look or sound familiar to you, and that’s because it is. I called it rustic because it is more like a salad than my cacik-cucumber-yogurt-sauce and can be served as a side dish.

If you are using English cucumbers, I think you would need to use two of them to equal the amount of the Persian cucumbers used in this recipe, depending the size of the cucumber. …

Burma Baklava ~ Crinkled Lady Finger Baklava
I decided to share this recipe with you for two reasons: firstly and most importantly is that I had posted my lady finger baklava recipe many years ago and when I updated my blog something happened to the post; I was not able to edit it or revise it. I then had to make a new post. A couple years later same thing happened to that post. It has happened to other older posts as well, some I deleted out of frustration and some I kept. I kept both of the lady finger baklava posts up with hopes that I could someday go in and revise and organize as it got all messed up with the update. The second reason was to share this other style of making it, a crinkled version; it looks bakery style and fancy….
