Tis the season of cold and flu…and in my house that means getting a jump start on building up our immune system! A few years ago I had the ‘Swine flu’ and I cannot tell you how sick I was…and with 3 kids to take care of I just don’t know how I did it! It could have been worse if I didn’t know these tips that I will share with you today!
I have a story to share with you, I read it a while ago….not sure where I found it…but a friend of mine re- posted it and so I was able to read it again. I wanted to share this with you, as it has touched me and makes me appreciate my mother and grandmother and the sacrifices they made.
The sacrifices a mother makes for her children is something that is amazing and just comes naturally. A mother sacrifices even the last morsel of food for her children, this mother sacrificed something even greater.
No matter where your from in the world, we all can relate as mothers….the love, bond we have with our children is something we all share!
Mothers day is this weekend…but who says its only one day in a year! Mothers day is everyday! Wouldn’t it be nice to surprise your mom when she least expects it at any time of the year!?
To all the Moms out there, thank you for your care, love and compassion and sacrifices! We love you!

I wanted to make my holiday gifts personal,and healthy…with Eid you tend to eat a lot of sweets like baklava and other rich desserts. I wanted to give out something different!
I went to a South Asian specialty store specializing in Indian and Pakistani grocery’s. While I was in line to pay… I came across these beautiful strawberry shaped treats (I love anything strawberry♥) I asked what they were…its pistachios and cashews! who knew nuts can be turned into something so wonderful♥
I knew it! I found her last night with the dvds…where and how she got there I have no idea. I looked all around the house the night before…and I knew it..I knew I would find her the next day and I did! oh well I put her with the rest of her crew…so for next time there will be no searching for velma!
