Anyone who knows me knows I love a good smoothie! I am all about being simple so I never really attempted a layered smoothie before, but since I have three smoothie cups that came with my mixer, I figured I could handle at least three layers with ease, and I did!
The amount for ingredients makes 2-4 servings depending the sizes of your glass.
I usually get single fruit and mixed fruit bags so you can mix fruits or make one fruit smoothies. I like these combinations best and so that is what I am sharing with you today.
For the blueberry part, you can use avocado or banana, it depends on what mood I am in, both are good and a good source of potassium. In fact, avocados have more potassium than bananas.
For berry layer:
- 1 and 1/2 cups frozen raspberries and strawberries
- 1/2 cup plain kefir
- 1 banana
- honey to sweeten
For blueberry/avocado or banana layer:
- 1 and 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
- 1 small avocado or 1 banana
- 1/2 cup plain kefir
- honey to sweeten
For mango/peach layer:
- 1 and 1/2 cups frozen mango and peaches
- 1/2 cup plain kefir
- 1 banana
- honey to sweeten
I have three different cups to make smoothies with, so it was pretty easy to make. If you have one smoothie cup, I would start with the mango, then the raspberry and the last one would be the blueberry.
Add ingredients for each smoothie in smoothie cups or blender one flavour at a time; blend until smooth.
Layer the smoothies in a glass and enjoy!
