Well as you can see this was for a party…the guests loved it, and it disappeared in a flash! this is good for kids party’s and adults alike.
Really simple to make, I do have 3 other designs that I made but the photos that I took are not the greatest, when I make it again, I will post it:)
This is my mama’s favourite! She always makes this for the kids…its her specialty! Its so easy to make…and turns simple vanilla ice cream to an amazing and impressive dessert!
What you will need for easy homemade vanilla ice cream:
- 2 cups cream
- 3/4 cup 3.25% milk
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 vanilla bean or 1tsp vanilla extract or 1 pouch of vanilla sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
Cut the vanilla bean in half, and slit the one half with a butter knife scrape the inside and add to the cream along with the pod. Combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, salt, vanilla till well blended. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Follow instructions on your ice cream maker for making ice cream. For mine I have to have the bowl frozen for 24 hours, before using.
Takes about 20 minute of turning, before it forms into ice cream. Remove from bowl and transfer to freezer safe container. Freeze for 1 to 2 hours before serving.
For Pineapple and Pecans:
- 1 pineapple
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp of brown sugar
- touch of cinnamon if desired
Peel and cut pineapple, use as much of it as you need. Cut into bite-size chunks. In a pan melt the butter on medium heat, add the pineapple and cook till heated. Add the brown sugar and pecans. Liquid will start to thicken up like candy.
You may add more sugar to desired sweetness, and you may add a touch of cinnamon if desired.
Top hot pineapple and pecans over the ice cream and enjoy:)
This is a nice variety of fruit that you can make for your guests to enjoy! I actually made this for the kids after school, I like to give them healthy snacks to choose from, these are some fruits that my kids enjoy!
This punch is so yummy, try it on a sunny day you will love it! I cannot stop myself when I make this, I can drink so many cups and not have enough! You can use what ever fruit you have, I find that orange slices and berries work best! To keep cold you can use frozen berries or fruit instead of water!
I make a variety of smoothies. I will share my favourites, I dont know exact measurements since i usually just throw it all in a pitcher and blend with my hand mixer. Then I adjust flavour as I go.
In need of a fast and easy dessert?
You can use store bought or home made or box angel food cake, and any fresh fruit you like, I used strawberries kiwi and blueberries.
