I love peaches, especially homegrown Ontario peaches, when in season, they are so delicious! I prefer peaches when they are a bit soft and really juicy, and my son likes them hard and a bit unripe. The perfect peach for jam is the one in between, not totally soft or hard, and should be juicy, not dry. If the peaches are too ripe and juicy, you will end up with a runny jam. …

Cheesecake with Pomegranate Jelly
Made this yummy delicious cheesecake recipe from Kraft! Of course I added my own touch to it! The pomegranate jelly went so well with it. I did have to add some more after it baked, as it change a bit in colour and it kinda baked in the cheesecake, so make sure you have extra jelly or jam on hand!

After squeezing the life out of three pomegranates and only getting one cup…yes you read correct one cup, I needed three! I went to the grocery store in the middle of all this and picked up a bottle of ‘Pom’ pomegranate juice. What a save! Open the bottle up and perfect, two cups of juice plus my one cup and I got my three cups! Whew!…

We love jam! Homemade jam is even better! I really would love to make the cooking jam sometime…the whole sterilization, proper canning techniques kinda scare me…..would if I don’t do it right! I know a girl who canned and all her jars popped and squirted all over! I can imagine that happening to me as I probably would miss an important step. So to stay on the safe side I make freezer jam!
