Pumpkin Spice Latte

For years I have added a dash of pumpkin spice in my coffee while its in the filter, so when the coffee is brewing the aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves fill the air, coffee tastes great too! Grew up on lattes not even knowing they were called lattes, mom always called it  qumesht me cafe meaning milk with coffee in Albanian, adding the pumpkin is the new addition in my house, obviously I only make it when I have pumpkin puree on hand, which lucky for me is all autumn long.

When making lattes there really isn’t any measuring, its all on how much you want to make, as well as how sweet or how much coffee you like in it. When I make it, I just add ingredients, taste and adjust as I go along till I am satisfied with it.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

Surprised my family this past weekend with these scrumptious pumpkin cinnamon roll pancakes! I actually wanted to make cinnamon rolls, but just didn’t have to the time to wait for the dough to rise…so I made these instead. I used the same recipe for my regular pumpkin pancakes, just added the cinnamon swirl part to it, you can make them plain if you like.

For the icing I made it a bit runny so that it had the consistency of a syrup, you can make it thicker if you like…that is up to you! It was a hit with all, even my mom love them! I actually added the icing in the middle, and folded it up like a taco…I was so hungry and didn’t have the patience to cut into it;) It really was yummy!

I was worried that the sugar would stick to the bottom, but it didn’t! I think  its because the pan was hot and I lightly greased it every time I made a pancake.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

I finally did it! I took the time to properly measure the ingredients and wrote it out for you all! We love cinnamon rolls! One of my earliest memories is my mom baking cinnamon rolls, she learned to make them as a kid in Sweden. She would add raisins and sometimes walnuts in the filling. Pumpkin Halva

Pumpkin Halva


Halva is a well known dessert in the Balkans and in the Mid East…..but they are different. Every culture has their own traditional ways of making it. In the Mid East halva is made with tahini and is commonly found in Middle Eastern stores ready in a plastic container….very sweet and hard sometimes with added pistachios, although I did find one that is soft and more like cotton candy and that is really yummy as well.

How to Prepare Pumpkin

Tis the season of pumpkin picking! Yes we went to a pumpkin patch and picked up some pumpkin pie pumpkins! They are smaller than the regular pumpkins you see at the grocery store….those ones are mostly used for Jack O’ lanterns. I will be sharing with you how to prepare a pumpkin! You can use pumpkin puree in anything you would use canned pumpkin in!

Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake

Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake

This is our families favourite pumpkin cheesecake, reason it kinda taste like a pie hence the name ‘Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake’! We love our pumpkin pie and we love cheesecake! Since cheesecake is filled with fat and calories I make mine light so my kids can get away with more slices than one!;)

Oh and I had some leftover homemade caramel sauce that just made it even better!:)
